Cruelty-free and vegan beauty finds in Manila.
I’ve always been a big supporter of shopping for locally-made goods. And the current market now is just full of so many products that are not just Philippine-made, they’re also made with local and imported natural and plant-based ingredients, with no chemicals, no toxic ingredients, and no animals harmed. The beauty industry has definitely evolved!
Established by an aromatherapist, a cosmetic chemist, and a skin care professional, Lumiere was created because of what they had in common: a love for organic skin care products, with high-quality and potent ingredients. In addition to that, their products are also cruelty-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, formaldehyde-free and vegan-friendly. For Lumiere, “it’s about finding the right balance between nature and science and making sure nothing and no one gets harmed along the way.”
The one product I love from them is their FlowerColor Lipsticks. There are currently no available vegan lipsticks that are locally made. I was ecstatic when I learned that not only is it available in the Philippines, it’s also made in the Philippines! Their lipsticks come in four different colors – Coral Crush, Pink Kiss, Sunset Burst, and Ruby Tease – and use flower pigments to color the lipsticks. Made with a combination of shea butter, chamomile oil, and ginseng root, among others, these FlowerColor lipsticks are lead-free, gluten-free, dye-free, and fragrance-free. These terms may seem technical but it all means one thing, no chemicals! www.lumiere.ph.
